As engineering and biology increasingly converge to create new approaches to human health and disease, scientific advances are unfolding within an equally dynamic policy and funding environment. Drawing on her experience at NIH, on Capitol Hill, and as Executive Director of AIMBE, Dr. Dawn Beraud will explore how public policy shapes biomedical innovation, and why scientists and engineers have an important role in shaping the policies that will influence the future of their fields.

Tentative Agenda
The EBi Fall Symposium will bring together the engineering biology community for a morning of research, innovation, and connection. The program will feature a keynote by Dr. Dawn Beraud, UCSF Resource Allocation Program (RAP) awardee project presentations highlighting EBi-supported research, fast-paced lightning talks, and an interactive poster session and networking to showcase emerging work across the community.
